Founded in 2011 and under the direction of Kyle Culmann, Latin Expressions is Indy’s longest running Latin dance studio in the city focusing on the art of Latin dance. We offer instruction in Salsa, Bachata, Mambo, ChaChaCha, Cumbia, Merengue and other traditional Latin social dances.

Kyle - Director/Owner
Latin Expressions Dance Company founder and director Kyle Culmann discovered his passion for Latin dance and culture during college. After more than six years of training, teaching, competing, and performing, he founded Latin Expressions in 2011 to create a welcoming and high-quality Latin dance community in Indianapolis.
Since then, Kyle has helped grow Latin Expressions into one of the region’s leading Latin dance organizations, offering classes, performances, socials, and events for dancers of all levels. Known for his energetic teaching style and strong technical instruction, he has taught, competed, and performed throughout the United States and internationally, including in Nicaragua and Thailand.
Through Latin Expressions, Kyle continues to inspire confidence, connection, and community through dance.
Mando - Associate Director
Mando González is the longest-tenured instructor at Latin Expressions, second to founder Kyle Culmann. Growing up, Mando discovered Latin dance through participating in quinceañeras, where he developed an early connection to the music, culture, and movement. He began taking Salsa lessons with his now-wife at Latin Expressions in 2017, and what started as a hobby quickly evolved into a passion and eventual lifestyle.
With over seven years of teaching experience, Mando specializes in Salsa, Bachata, and other Latin dance styles, sharing his love for dance through a strong emphasis on technique, connection, musicality, and the history behind each style. He is also the founder and director of Mambo Magic, Indy’s premier Salsa team. Whether mentoring experienced dancers as they push to the next level or introducing new students into the Latin dance community, Mando is passionate about helping others grow both on and off the dance floor.
Rachel - Studio Manager
Raised in a deeply musical family, Rachel developed a lifelong passion for the arts through singing, playing the flute, and performing choreography throughout school. A proud mother of five, she uses painting and baking as a creative outlet when she’s not at the studio. Her love for the arts led her to try Latin Expressions in the summer of 2019, where she quickly grew a love for salsa and bachata. In the summer of 2022, she began teaching, sharing her enthusiasm for Latin dance while inspiring students to build confidence, connection, and joy through movement.
Troy
Troy began his dance journey in September 2022 at Latin Expressions. He developed a deep love for bachata shortly after, which inspired him to travel the country and abroad, learning from the best. Years later, after becoming certified to teach Bachata Sensual by the creators, Korke & Judith, he remains a student — but as an instructor, he loves passing that knowledge onto his students and seeing their growth. During the day, he works as an employee relations expert, and at night, you’re likely to find him on the dance floor — whether that’s leading a class or dancing the night away.
Amber
Amber Rose is a professional dancer, choreographer, and instructor specializing in Latin dance. With over a decade of training, she began in modern dance before immersing herself in salsa, bachata, merengue, and cumbia while living in Costa Rica in 2019. Upon returning to the United States, she trained extensively before joining Mambo Magic. She is co-director of the Puro Tumbao Mambo Team and a choreographer and performer for the FUZE Ascend Ladies Team. Amber also performs and teaches bachata fusion nationally through her partnership, SxA. An award-winning competitor, she has earned top placements at major events and continues to share her artistry worldwide.
