Kyle

Owner and Founder of Latin Expressions Dance Company (LE), Kyle Culmann discovered his passion for Latin dance and culture in college and started Latin Expressions in 2011.  While keeping LE based in Indianapolis, he has taught, competed, and performed across the nation and abroad including the countries of Nicaragua and Thailand.

Mando

Normando González graduated from Butler University in 2017, and he currently works as an Actuarial Analyst here in downtown Indy. Growing up, he first gained experience with dancing by participating in quinceañeras. Normando started taking salsa lessons at Latin Expressions early in 2017, and he’s enjoyed it ever since. He now aims to improve his skills, while also empowering others to begin their Latin dance journeys.

Rachel

LE Studio Manager and mom of five, Rachel spends most of her time at home running the kids to activities or working.  She is a baker and an amateur cake decorator who enjoys using her creative side through these activities.  Music has always been a big part of her life having started dancing at a very young age while also singing and playing the flute through high school.  Although she sang at church, everything was put on hold while raising her family.  In 2019 she decided she wanted to start taking Salsa classes with a family member.  She quickly fell in love with Latin dancing and now spends as much free time at the studio as possible.

Nidhi

Nidhi works as a Physical Therapist in Indianapolis.  Born and brought up in Kenya, her dance journey started at the age of three!  She inherited her love for dance from her mother, an Indian classical/Bollywood dancer and instructor.  Nidhi discovered her love for Latin and Ballroom dance in India and has continued pursuing her passion for Latin dancing when she started taking classes at Latin Expressions in 2018.  She now assists in instructing and demonstrating students to help further their growth, and in turn, enhancing her own teaching and dancing skills.

Bianca

Bianca graduated from the IU School of Nursing in 2018 and works as a Registered Nurse in downtown Indianapolis. She discovered her passion for Latin dance at a young age. She learned the basics from family members and practiced her moves at quinces with friends. It wasn’t until 2017 that she decided to start official dance classes at Latin Expressions. She now helps demonstrate and instruct others during class and loves being a part of students’ journey towards becoming great dancers.

Vanessa

Vanessa Benham received her PhD in Parmacology and Toxicology from Michigan State University in 2020.  She started dancing Salsa and Bachata in 2017, taking workshops and intensives all over the US.  Vanessa started teaching Bachata at Latin Expressions in 2022 and specializes in Sensual Bachata.  She is a Director of Evolucion Latina Dance Company (ELDC) and directs three Indy ELDC Bachata performance teams.
